This soft adventure trip includes time to take in the sights of Honiara and the LangaLanga Lagoon culture near Auki then winds up with two nights at Fatboys Resort, on a small island near Gizo including a boat trip to local villages.
After a look around Honiara, this package takes you to sleepy little Munda township, gateway to the Roviana Lagoon. The highlight of the trip is a speed boat transfer from Munda to Gizo via the spectacular Vona Vona lagoon - one of the world's most beautiful water journeys yet enjoyed by very few. On arrival in Gizo, enjoy a village excursion and beach time at Fatboys Resort.
After a night in Honiara you fly out to the Marovo Lagoon and spend two nights at remote Ramata in a locally-owned eco-lodge exploring the pristine natural environment of the world's largest fringing lagoon. Journey by motor canoe down the full length of the Marovo Lagoon to Matikuri Island near Seghe for two nights then continue by motor canoe to Munda, Kukundu and Gizo, almost circumnavigating New Georgia Island in the process. This is a soft adventure tour with oodles of snorkelling, beach walking and contact with local people in beautiful spots hardly touched by tourism.
